Discussion – US State Sponsored Capitalism?
This is new. We are starting to see some things we haven’t seen before in the United States. We have always been a nation who doesn’t seek to directly interfere in the management, operations and ownership of business. While there has always been regulation (e.g., banking), and heavily regulated industries (e.g., electric utility companies), we haven’t yet been down this road outside of a financial crisis (e.g., auto makers in 2008).

China
In trying to compete with China, does this open the door for the US to become like China? To be more authoritarian? To be more – dare we say – Communist? I recall Chuck Pierce prophecy saying both in his “Future war of the Church” book and more recently, “God showed me in 1986 that if we didn’t shift by 2024, by 2026 our government would look very much like China’s government.” In US Christianity, we have almost always taken this to mean more of a Marxist Progressive ideology of control, but what if it includes Capitalist authoritarianism too?
